There’s something rather magical about Wells beach in winter. Quieter, wilder and beautifully bracing and even better when you have a happy hut to escape back to.
This year, we’re opening 10 of our huts which you can find below throughout the Christmas and New Year period, giving you the chance to enjoy a winter beach day with a festive twist.
Each participating hut has been given its own Christmas personality, so what you’ll find inside will vary from hut to hut.

Your hut will be yours for all three days, giving you a rather lovely little seaside escape throughout Christmas.
Before you book...
Christmas at the beach is a little different to summer and that's part of the fun!
Our huts are not heated and do not have electricity, so come prepared for a proper winter beach day. Wells beach can be chilly, windy and wonderfully wild in December, so plenty of layers are essential.
During the winter, Holkham turn the water taps off, so you'll need to bring enough water for drinking and washing up.
The huts are for relaxing, eating, drinking and enjoying the beach, cooking isn't permitted. Stoves are available for boiling water, and any saucepan provided is for warming drinks such as mulled wine, cider or soup.
