There is no fixed departure time, but please check car park closing times before leaving.

1. Accessing your hut

All huts are accessed via a key safe.

You’ll receive:

  • An email with your key code at 10am the day before arrival

  • A reminder email at 7am on the morning of your booking

Please check your junk folder if you can’t see the email.

🗝 Key safes are located on the inside railing at the top of each hut’s steps.

If keys are accidentally locked inside the hut, emergency key safes are located underneath the huts and use the same code.

2. What to bring?

We provide almost everything you need for a beach day to see what your huts provides see here and select your beach hut, but please remember to bring:

  • Tea towels

  • Drinking water (only November–April when water taps are off)

  • Extra layers on windy days

  • Bin bags & washing up liquid are provided

The beach cafe is open daily 10am-4pm for more info find their website here.

💧Water canisters are provided in all huts which can be filled from the taps.

(Taps operate April-October)

3. Parking

The Beach Road car park fills very quickly during peak season, often by 9:30–10am.

If full, you may be redirected to:

  • Freeman Street overspill car park

  • Other Wells town car parks

From Wells town it is approximately a 1 mile walk to the beach.

🚌 The Holkham bus also operates between the town and beach area.

🚐 Vehicles over 2m high may not be permitted in some car parks during peak periods. We recommend checking directly with Pinewoods before travelling:
01328 710439

 ⚠️ Booking a hut doesn't guarentee parking

In peak periods we advise arriving early

Additional toilets are open in the spring/summer in the pinewoods by the beach ramp.

4. Facilities

Please note:

  • No electricity

  • No fridges

  • No running water inside huts

Available in the car park:

  • Public toilets

  • Water taps

  • Beach Café

💧 Beach water taps are switched off between November and Easter.

Each hut includes:

  • Gas stove for boiling water only

  • Water container

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Beach equipment

For step free access use the ramp by the RNLI station (no dogs) or the ramp in the pinewoods by hut 138.

5. Finding your hut

Directions for each hut can be found on its individual hut page and the map is a good visual guide to what is where:

6. Good to know

🐶 Some huts are dog friendly — please check your booking details.

🌦 Beach weather can change quickly, so we recommend bringing layers even on sunny days.

🪰 During the warmer month, flies can occasionally be present due to the nearby pinewoods and warm weather. There is nothing we can do about this I'm afraid.

🔇 Please be respectful of neighbouring beach users. Wells beach is a shared public space and the huts are very close together.
